Bede's World

Based around the monastery at St Paul's in Jarrow, Bede's World is a captivating multimedia museum that explores the history of medieval Northumbria and traces the development of English Christianity using the writing of the Venerable Bede, archaeological finds and re-creations of life in a Saxon village. With St Peter's in Sunderland it is bidding for recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage site
