Millions of pounds are being invested in Sunniside, breathing new life into its historic streets and restoring the area to its former glory. Home to 160 listed buildings and boasting stunning new £2 million gardens, this beautiful city quarter is now bustling with new businesses.

Contemporary restaurants and cafes, as well as  boutiques stocking niche fashions can be found in Sunniside, as well as a number of art attractions, including a new glass and metal sculpture inspired by Sunderland’s industrial heritage.

A new business and arts centre, The Place has also recently opened in Sunniside and includes exhibition spaces, café and artists studios.
