National Glass Centre
National Glass Centre is a unique venue dedicated to exploring ideas through glass and providing opportunities for people to be creative, enjoy themselves and feel inspired. National Glass Centre houses exhibition spaces, artists’ studios and glass-making facilities, Craft and Design shop, café/restaurant and function suites, located in an innovative contemporary glass and steel building on the banks of the River Wear.
National Glass Centre aims to present a thought provoking, exciting and adventurous programme of exhibitions, and high quality educational resources and learning opportunities for schools, families, adults and children. It supports artists/designers working in glass by providing studios, production facilities, and advice and making services.
